TOUGH GUY TRAINING / TOUGH GIRL TRAINING
Sometimes it’s great to go back to using any piece of equipment you can find to help improve your health and fitness. That’s what Tough Guy Trainign is all about. No fancy machines, no Bootcamp pretend Sergeant Majors blowing whistles, just pushing yourself to the limits to get stronger and fitter.
I competed in the original UK ‘Tough Guy’ event for 3 years from ‘98 – 2000, with a best place finish of 350 out of 4000 starters www.toughguy.co.uk. Tough Guy Training incorporates many exercises I incorporated into my workouts to combat the harsh terrain and obstacles I faced in the event. We use rope climbs, box jumps, tyre flips, kettlebells, etc. These exercises are widely used by UFC and MMA fighters all over the world and are the best way to work every muscle in the body even if you’ve been training at the gym or kickboxing for years (just ask some of the members of Team NKA).
Tough Guy/Girl Training is on Saturdays at 8am and open to all fitness abilities. All you have to do is ask yourself – Are you Tough enough?
