The NKA will soon be running the Fitness Australia accredited ‘Kettlebells for Fitness’ course. You will be able to receive 5 CEC’s for successful completion of the course.

‘Kettlbells for Fitness’ Course Aims & Learning Objectives

The ‘Kettlebells for Fitness’ course is open to Cert IV Personal Trainers, Cert III Fitness Instructors and Non-Fitness professionals who may want to further their knowledge of Kettlebell training.

The Aim of the course is:

To educate participants in how to safely and properly use Kettlebells and perform the fundamental and traditional Kettlebell exercises, allowing them to properly structure and teach Kettlebell exercises and conduct classes to their clients.

The Learning Outcomes from the course:

At the conclusion of the course participants will be able to,

  1. Demonstrate and teach their clients how to safely & correctly perform a range of traditional, static and abdominal Kettlebell exercises.
  2. Demonstrate and teach their clients safe and correct posture whilst performing Kettlebell exercises
  3. Identify and correct poor posture and poor technique where needed in clients.
  4. Conduct and teach Kettlebell classes to their clients.

Some of the exercises you will learn are the traditional exercises like Kettlebell Swings, Rack(clean) and Push Press, Renegade Rows, Shuffle Walk and Halos as well as combination exercises and more modern exercises found at the gym.

We do not however teach the Snatch in the ‘Kettlebells For Fitness’ course as this is and advanced exercise which takes alot of time to truely master and I would advise caution if enrolling on a course that teaches this exercise unless most of the course is dedicated to learning and teaching it. As this course is a foundation for your KB training we don’t expect you to be a KB expert in a few short hours. We are realistic about safe training outcomes for you and what you can expect to learn in one day to safely train your clients.

In the ‘Advanced Kettlebells For Fitness’ course you will learn the Snatch as well as other advanced exercises and how to safely incorporate these and other great exercises into your clients’ workouts.
